Juvenile Justice Evaluation Center
From 1998 through 2007, the Justice Research and Statistics Association (JRSA) worked on the Juvenile Justice Evaluation Center (JJEC) project to assist the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) in its efforts to build juvenile justice evaluation capacity in the states. JJEC project operations began with a needs assessment to determine the scope and content of the project. Project activities included training, state-specific technical assistance, conference presentations, the development and maintenance of a web site, practitioner-oriented publications, subawards to states to encourage researcher practitioner partnerships, and a monthly newsletter. In 2005 JJEC published a report on the status of juvenile justice evaluation efforts in the states and territories including information on current evaluation-related policies and practices as well as changes that occurred since 1999.
Publications produced by the project are available on the Juvenile Justice Publications page.
The Juvenile Justice Evaluation Center (JJEC) is no longer available. JJEC was funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention from 1998 through 2007, and implemented by the Justice Research and Statistics Association (JRSA).
