State SACs The Justice Research and Statistics Association is a national nonprofit organization of state Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) directors, and other researchers and practitioners throughout government, academia, and the justice community who are dedicated to the use of research and analysis to make informed policy and program decisions.
JRSA conducts and publishes multistate, policy-relevant research on justice issues; provides training and technical assistance to build research and evaluation capacity and knowledge of evidence-based practices at the state and local levels; and maintains information on state criminal and juvenile justice research and programs.

The Washington Statistical Analysis Center is located in the Forecasting and Research Division of the Office of Financial Management. The staff of three fills many roles, including providing data, research, and analyses that inform the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of public policy; staffing the Sentencing Guidelines Commission and Sex Offender Policy Board; and responding to queries on criminal justice issues from local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as the public.

Registration is now open for the May 1st webinar Uses of Administrative Data from Jails: Virginia's Local Inmate Data System (LIDS). This webinar features Baron Blakley of the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services. Mr. Blakley will discuss the types of data included in LIDS, some of the ways in which LIDS has been used to analyze trends in the jail population, how it is used to examine recidivism for local responsible offenders and track the success of programs meant to keep individuals out of jail.
